Queen of the Geeks
Yesterday Amanda and I went to go to some museums but they were closed and we were standing around the closed museum saying DAMN IT we wanted to LEARN and while we were standing there some other girl came up and tried to get in to the closed museum and she was even worse cus she was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! and so the moral of the story is that Ottawa is a town full of geeks who bawl when the museums close.
Anyway we went for a walk around Parliament Hill and took tourist photos and then we went to this boring sports bar. There were a bunch of overweight boring office guys there all decked out in leather jackets and proximity cards. We were kinda staring them down for something to do and then some young good looking guy came and joined them but you could tell he was one of those ambitious materialistic types. This guy woulda worked his ass off as a teenager and drove around town in a car he bought himself feeling supremely impressed with himself meanwhile I was sneaking empty pop bottles outta my moms kitchen so I could a afford a 2 litre kiwi cooler.
We went to Amanda's house with a big bottle of wine and drank it at a pace slow enough that we never really got drunk. She has this machine that generates random words and then counts down 45 seconds in faster and faster beeps and we played write a shitty poem about the word before the time runs out. Hers sounded more poem-y than mine, mine were more like kid rhymes with the occasional f-word thrown in for good measure.
Also there was a fire at her apartments and it was strange cus we were just like whoa, I guess we gotta leave and then some kinda mentally disabled girl who was also in a wheelchair was in the hall yelling that she was scared but we couldnt get her outta there so we told her we'd send rescuers but it was stressful cus she was so scared and helpless and we could barely make her out and the alarm was loud as hell. The fire just ended up being in this room in the parking garage where they kept a bunch of old furniture and whatever but it was on fire pretty good but we went back inside and told the girl that she was safe. Has anyone seen a black person with downe syndrome before? We were talking about if she was ds or not but she didn't look it but then I got to thinking that I've never seen a black downe syndrome person before-anyone know what that's about?
I ate a buncha banana bread on the way home and I feel kinda sick. I'm gonna go huck the rest of it outside for some birds or squirells or something to eat. If I was super rich I would hire someone to sit around and watch it and let me now what becomes of it.
Sometimes I feel like I am documenting every toilet I ever went in and every mirror I ever looked in. What a boring documentary. I only make it because it stars me.
